Ruven Schoeman is an experienced birder based in Cape Town, South Africa with over 600 bird species seen in the country. He is truly fascinated by the country's avian diversity and endemism and does his best to promote it. He created this website to attract birders from around the world to our beautiful country and to offer insights on the top birds as well as its best birding locations. He is also working on extending the website to South Africa's neighbouring countries including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
